Wilderness adventures

As of May 19, 2021, I’ll be hiking the Pacific Crest Trail starting at the California/Mexico border with the intention of hiking to Canada. Want to come along on the adventure? Check out my blog* to read about where I am and what’s going on—plus pictures like the above from Sequoia National Park!

For several years, I was a Wilderness EMT, guided backpacking trips for an international school in New Mexico when I could, helped teach wilderness first aid classes, and volunteered on a search and rescue team. I believe strongly that the most important piece of hiking gear lies between your ears. If you want to head out into the wilderness, I recommend finding a group nearby who can help you learn what you need to know to enjoy some of the most beautiful parts of our planet. Who knows, it just might change your life!

*I cannot guarantee that the blog is humor free. But it may just be punderful!
